Alumni Profile: RJ ’07, MBA ‘10 and Kari Grant-Gagnon ’07, MBA ‘09 Web Director | March 25, 2022

Kari and RJ met and fell in love during their time at Thomas College as student-athlete undergraduates. Since graduating, both earned their MBAs and have built a beautiful family together, while simultaneously building successful individual careers.

RJ and Kari both completed their undergraduate degrees at Thomas in 2007, briefly leaving school after four years of forging life-long friendships and having been highly active on campus (both were varsity athletes, strong students, and Kari led the Student Senate). Shortly after leaving campus, they both decided to return for their master’s degrees, which they each completed and successfully leveraged to help grow their careers. RJ is now the Chief Financial Officer at Androscoggin Home Healthcare + Hospice and Kari holds a leadership role with ProjectForward LLC and also works as a professional consultant in the areas of development, marketing, and management.

Along the way RJ and Kari were married, had two sons, bought a beautiful home, and filled it with love. By all accounts they had “made it” and were experiencing success and fulfillment in both their personal and professional lives. They also still felt a strong connection to Thomas and a drive to get involved again and give back to their alma mater.

Kari recently joined Thomas’s Life After Thomas Program as a volunteer, helping connect alums with students. RJ joined suit, with a willingness to participate in alumni-student events as a panelist, with a desire to help students understand the accounting profession and to help position them for success post-graduation.
